For the second consecutive year, Tyler Village is home to the ultimate summer party, Groove N Brew, a collaborative all-out, free-to-the-public bash created by Gotta Groove Records and Indigo Imp Brewery.
The event, happening July 12 from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Tyler Village parking lot, will feature five bands and a pop up version of The Cleveland Flea.
While last year’s event attracted about 300 people, Gotta Groove Record’s owner, Vince Slusarz, is anticipating a much larger crowd this year. “It was honestly the worst day of the summer,” he admits when discussing last year’s event. “It was about 50 degrees and rainy.”
Whether the clouds are sunny or cloudy, nothing will stop this year’s event from happening. Five bands including Party Plates, MEanderthal, Faux Paw, Chris Allen and the Guilty Hearts and the headliners, Cincinnati-based Buffalo Killers, will take to the stage. “Since the stage is on our loading dock, the music will happen regardless of weather,” Slusarz says. Sound will be provided by another Tyler Village tenant, NAC Technologies.
With the addition of a pop-up version of The Cleveland Flea, local food truck, Boca Loca Burrito Factory and Indigo Imp’s Tasting Room, Slusarz is hopeful this year’s event will attract thousands.
