The media production business is nothing new to Hunter Prunty and his cousin Evan. After graduating from Tri-C, Hunter has been creating music videos, commercials, television shows and feature films for the past four years.
Now they are venturing out on their own with one-year-old Black Valve Media, looking for more clients, corporate relationships and more.
“We found our way into making connections with ESPN through Cleveland Camera Rental,” Hunter explains. He modestly adds that other clients have included ABC and what he refers to as “low budget feature films” priced in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Their ideal clients are those in need of quality, full service production facilities. “We have capabilities to connect with some of the top people in the field so we can provide the latest techniques including super slow motion. We can service their needs with 20-30 person crews.”
Hunter and Evan had specific leasing requirements when looking for the ideal space for Black Valve Media. “We need to load in and out of a garage. We needed an elevator. We need a lot of room.”
What they have leased is 2500 square feet in Building 25. “The price was good. There’s the room we need. It’s a great fit,” he says.
